Allie + Colton :: Western Chic Outdoor Austin Wedding

Western Chic Outdoor Austin Wedding

Chic, neutral Texas wedding invitation

We loved Allie and Colton’s chic, neutral southern vibes.

Allie and Colton’s quintessential Austin wedding was the perfect balance between southern and sophisticated! Gorgeous neutral florals framed all the stunning moments of their big day, and vibrant pops of blue added a fun twist to the design. For their invitation suite, we created a soft neutral invitation, with a matching beige envelope and cream wax seal! We also had the pleasure of designing their day of stationery, which included custom koozies and menus that also acted as place cards! Natural wood and leather elements in the bar and lounge seating created the perfect touch of western for this otherwise chic wedding. And no true Texas wedding is complete without a little sparkle- Allie and Colton drove off in a tunnel of sparkler fountains! A perfect end to the night!

The Difference between a Logo Refresh and Logo Design

Logo refresh and logo design.

Logo Refresh

Refreshing a current logo is a less drastic approach than a completely new logo design. When we design a logo refresh, we work with the original logo as inspiration and use the current design elements.

Examples would be updating colors, adding copy or messages, or updating the feel or vibe of the logo. Below are some examples of well-known logo refreshes…

Dominos New Logo.jpg

And our own small business logo refresh examples. Notice how the colors are the same and fonts are similar, but there’s either added wording or re-formatted design.

Logo Design

A logo design is for new businesses who need a logo or for established businesses who need a whole new look with a logo re-design.

Logos are important to any business: service-based companies, retail stores, entrepreneurs, and even Etsy shop owners, influencers, and network marketing members.

And for established business who want a new look for a logo redesign….

And logos for influencers, Etsy shops, and networking marketing…

Introducing Brand Design: How to elevate your business

Brand Design: How to Elevate your Business

Introducing brand design with Pink Champagne Designs.

We’re so excited to introduce this new aspect of our business - helping small businesses elevate their business brand.

first impressions

I feel so lucky to be surrounded by so many amazing entrepreneurs and female business owners. Every day I get to watch businesses grow and flourish and frankly, nothing makes me happier or more motivated.

We know from wedding invitations that a good design sets the tone for your wedding. It not only informs guests and indicates formality, but it even tells a story with personality. And it does all this through a single design. This first impression is very important for any event.

And guess what? First impressions are so important to your business as well. What does your brand design say about you? What does your brand say about the service or product you offer? You want to be sure to attract the right clients, inform them of what you do, and tell a story right from the beginning.

As our team grows in size, so does what we can offer you. We have been designing for a select few brands and business for years, and we’re over the moon to announce we are now able to officially launch brand design as a full service offering to you (insert happy dance here)!!

Our entire team has been thinking of this side of our business for a while. Personally, I’ve been dreaming about it for fifteen years! After earning my bachelor’s degree in marketing from Baylor University (sic ‘em!), I was marketing director for two small businesses before starting Pink Champagne Designs. While working at this first career, I dreamed of helping other businesses and entrepreneurs.

Your dream team

So what is brand design? Brand design includes the visuals and feeling of your business: logo, fonts, color palette, icons, marketing materials, and even your website. Brand design is arguably the most powerful marketing tool for your business to attract and retain your ideal clients and customers.

If you’re reading this and thinking you may need a guidance or direction like a logo refresh or even a completely new design, you’re in the right place. You want to feel confident with your business and ensure it reflects all your hard work you’ve put into building it.

Our brand design #dreamteam has designed for Martha Stewart, Disney, Birch Box, Minted, and countless small businesses. As a small business ourselves, we know that each small business is different, so we treat each business uniquely. That is why our graphic design services include packages as well as a la carte so you have any and all the tools you need for success.

Megan + Carson :: Timeless Blush and Ivory Summer Wedding

Timeless Blush and Ivory Summer Wedding

Classic, timeless custom wedding invitation

Loved creating Megan and Carson’s invitations for their classic, romantic Canyonwood Ridge wedding.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but this wedding gallery has left us speechless! Megan and Carson’s wedding was classic, romantic, and filled with the softest summer colors. For their wedding, we designed a combination letterpress and gold foil invitation, with a golf foil border detail! This classic design was beautifully complimented with soft pink and white florals and touches of gold. For the reception, we designed some fun cocktail napkins and custom signage to get guests ready for the party. Megan and Carson’s wedding day ended with a sparkler exit with friends and family!

Featured :: Wedding at Sculpture Garden on Martha Stewart Weddings

Wedding at Sculpture Garden

Nasher Sculpture Center custom wedding invitation

A custom sketch of the sculpture that Emily and Andrew were married under made these letterpress invitations unique and personal.

Emily and Andrew’s garden wedding will make you forget you are in the middle of Downtown Dallas- in the best way! Their luscious fall color scheme transformed this sculpture garden into a colorful and cozy atmosphere. Guests mingled under the trees at a mix of lounge furniture and flower adorned tables. For their special day, we created classic and simple letterpress invitations, with a venue sketch at the top of the invitation to mimic the sculpture that served as the backdrop to their nuptials. Emily and Andrew ended the night with one of our favorite exits we have seen- confetti cannons! Such a fun day for this fun couple! See their wedding on Martha Stewart Weddings here!

Quick Tips on Wedding Invitation Wording Etiquette

Quick Tips on Wedding Invitation Wording Etiquette

Quick tips on wedding invitation wording etiquette.

Traditional wording etiquette changes over the years, but we’ve compiled the best advice from Emily Post, Martha Stewart, and our own lengthy experience with traditional weddings.

It’s important to note that traditional wedding invitation wording doesn’t necessarily mean you have to have a black tie or formal wedding. You can have traditional wording on your wedding invitations, while still having a more casual wedding or more modern overall invitation design. Mixing the traditional wedding invitation wording with a modern/contemporary/casual design is a great way to compromise with traditional parents’ views. (Trust us- we see this a lot!)

Hosting and Invitation Lines

  • Parents names should include first, middle, and last name. Ex: Mr. and Mrs. John David Smith

  • Never use abbreviations for names Ex: Mr. and Mrs. John D. Smith

  • Spell out Doctor

  • All names should be capitalized

  • No punctuation is needed at the top of the invitation for traditional wording

  • “…honor of your presence…” is used for a house of worship

  • “…pleasure of your company…” is used for a non-house of worship

  • Both “honor” (American) and “honour” (British) versions are correct and considered etiquette

(for more information on hosting line, we invite you to visit our blog on Invitation Wording Based on Who is Hosting)

Names

  • If bride’s last name is listed above with her parents, only her first and middle name is written Ex: Sarah Elizabeth

  • If the bride’s last name differs than her parents, then her last name is included Ex: Sarah Elizabeth Smith

  • The groom’s full name is written out Ex: Kyle Matthew Moore

  • The groom’s title is optional Ex: Mr. Kyle Matthew Moore

Date/Year/time

  • The date is written out without any numbers Ex: Saturday, the twenty-fifth of November

  • The year is optional

  • If the year is included, the year is written out

  • The time is written to indicate time of day Ex: at four in the afternoon

  • “O’clock” is optional

Location/reception

  • Ceremony venue name is written out in full

  • Ceremony city and state are written out without any abbreviations

  • Ceremony address may be included if the ceremony is at a private residence or obscure location unknown to Google. If so, no zip code is needed

  • If ceremony and reception are at the same location, a reception line is added to the bottom of the card
Ex: And afterward at the reception
    Reception to follow
    Reception immediately following
    Dinner and dancing to follow
Cocktails, dinner and dancing to follow

  • If ceremony and reception are at different locations, a reception card is added to the suite with reception information including time and location. Nowadays, it is still considered a traditional invitation suite if the reception location and time are written at the end of the ceremony card.

Bonus Tips

  • The fist letter of each line is capitalized. The only exception is “at" on the time line

We hope this helps you put together the perfect wedding invitation wording! Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need help!
